Former CIA deputy director says Khorasan more threatening than
ISIS
Group kept under wraps until now adds new dimension to war on terror

Mike Morell, a former deputy director of the CIA, told CBS News there is a terror group that poses a more serious and direct threat to America than ISIS. “Khorasan members came from Pakistan,” Morell told the corporate media news network. “They focus on attacks in the West.” Morell said the terrorist group known until recently only to the government is focused on threats to aviation. The group believes “if they damage the airlines they can damage the American economy, as we saw with 9/11,” Morell explained. “Unlike ISIS, which is believed at present to be largely engulfed in its fight for territory. Khorasan is developing fresh plots to target U.S. aviation, and it’s trying to recruit Westerners who have flocked to the fight in Syria, some of whom have joined the al Qaeda franchise in the country, known as the al-Nusra Front… The fear is that U.S. and European passport holders could more easily smuggle explosives onto airplanes.” The al-Nusra Front has pledged allegiance to ISIS. CBS reports Khorasan is especially dangerous because it supposedly has access to AQAP, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, and its alleged master bomb maker. As we noted in August as the hyped ISIS threat began to pick up steam, al-Qaeda’s purported mastery with explosives is primarily the stuff of myth. From Faisal Shahzad and the Times Square plot to the pathetic attempt to blow up Northwest Airlines 253 by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, al-Qaeda’s track record is at best dismal. Ibrahim al-Asiri, a Saudi with a murky background, is said to be al-Qaeda’s bomb maker. He allegedly made the bombs discovered on cargo planes in Dubai. That bungled plot and the Northwest Airlines 253 caper were reportedly the work of Anwar al-Awlaki, the former FBI operative who dined at the Pentagon just months after 9/11. CIA boss John Brennan recently told CBS that U.S. officials were “doing what we can” to track al-Asiri down and said his “time will come.” Perfect TimingThe question is why did the government conceal the supposed Khorasan threat to aviation after Obama’s ISIS war speech and after weeks of hyperventilating about the terror threat by the establishment media and neocon members of Congress. Only the United States government and its intelligence agencies are aware of Khorasan and they have not provided evidence to verify that it and a threat to aviation actually exist. The unsubstantiated Khorasan threat is perfectly timed to coincide with the ISIS threat. It will be used as a multiplier as the United States and soon the United Nations and NATO ramp up for the ISIS war.

Obama Plans to ‘Fight ISIS’ by Arming ISIS So-called "moderate" Syrian rebels are openly aligned with Islamic State militants
by Paul Joseph Watson | September 10, 2014 President Barack Obama is set to announce his plan to combat ISIS terrorists in Iraq and Syria by arming so-called “moderate” Syrian rebels despite the fact that such militants have openly aligned themselves with Islamic State fighters. “Obama has told congressional lawmakers that he has the authority to proceed with much of his plan without their formal approval,” reports the Associated Press. “However, he is seeking authorization from Congress for the train-and-equip operation for Syrian rebels, a request he first made earlier this summer.” Obama is expected to unveil the plan to send weapons to FSA fighters during a prime time speech later tonight. The lunacy of such a policy is illustrated by the fact that Bassel Idriss, commander of an FSA-run rebel brigade, recently admitted that Washington-backed “moderate” rebels are still collaborating with ISIS. “We are collaborating with the Islamic State and the Nusra Front by attacking the Syrian Army’s gatherings in … Qalamoun,” Idriss told Lebanon’s Daily Star. “Let’s face it: The Nusra Front is the biggest power present right now in Qalamoun and we as FSA would collaborate on any mission they launch as long as it coincides with our values.” A July report in Stars and Stripes also documented how the 1,000 strong Dawud Brigade, which had previously fought alongside the FSA against the Assad regime, defected in its entirety to join ISIS. Also in July it emerged that “several factions within the FSA, including Ahl Al Athar, Ibin al-Qa’im” had “handed over its weapons to the Islamic State in large numbers” and pledged allegiance to ISIS. Islamic State fighter Abu Atheer also told Al-Jazeera, “We are buying weapons from the FSA. we bought 200 anti-aircraft missiles and Koncourse anti tank weapons. We have good relations with our brothers in the FSA. For us, the infidels are those who cooperate with the West to fight Islam.” Three leading Syrian rebel commanders also announced back in December that they had relinquished ties with the Free Syrian Army’s Supreme Military Council, the military wing of the western-backed Syrian National Coalition, in order to join ISIS. In addition, a recent study by Conflict Armament Research revealed that Islamic State militants obtained U.S. supplied weapons, including M16 assault rifles, which were originally smuggled out of Jordan and provided to so-called “moderate” FSA rebels. ISIS terrorists also acquired M79 rockets which were initially given to FSA rebels by Saudi Arabia. The rockets, “were part of the arms shipments from Croatia that were meant for the Free Syrian Army. The weapons were either captured, or acquired by former FSA fighters as they joined ISIS,” reports LJR Review. As further evidence of FSA rebels collaborating with ISIS, it recently emerged that murdered American journalist Steven Sotloff was sold to ISIS by FSA militants. FSA rebels and ISIS militants also fought together to seize control of the Menagh airbase in August last year. Obama spoke today with Saudi King Abdullah as part of his efforts to build an international coalition against ISIS. What was probably absent from the conversation was any discussion about the fact that the Saudis, along with U.S. allies Qatar, Turkey and Jordan, armed and funded ISIS from the beginning. The Obama administration is clearly using the threat posed by ISIS as an excuse to get done what it has thus far failed to accomplish – the overthrow of the Assad government – by embarking on a huge transfer of weapons to FSA rebels, despite the fact that FSA fighters are openly collaborating with, defecting to, and fighting alongside ISIS militants. Former CIA Whistle-blower Targeted by Govt. for Facebook Posts Whistle-blower calls out government in Facebook posts, gets threatened by the DOJ Julie Wilson William Robert “Tosh” Plumlee, a former CIA contract pilot who flew arms and ammunition for the agency during the Cuban Project of the 1950s, has been targeted by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for directing hard-hitting questions toward the Senate, Congress and the president on his Facebook page.
Plumlee has appeared as a guest on the Alex Jones Show several times and is highly respected for his whistle-blowing efforts, particularly in exposing a coverup in which the CIA was facilitating transactions of weapons in exchange for drugs and in support of the Iran-Contra effort in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. “Numerous field reports have stated Plumlee flew arms to Nicaragua during the Iran-Contra Scandal,” conspiracy researcher and author Jim Marrs wrote last month. Plumlee testified to the US Senate that “he had returned to the US with loads of cocaine during the Reagan years,” and has since blown the whistle on the clandestine operations and also on similar operations being conducted presently in the Middle East. “He reported to federal officials large shipments of ‘High Impact’ weapons as well as small arms and ammunition being funneled through a network of clandestine CIA safe houses in Turkey, Jordan, Qatar, Pakistan and other Middle Eastern locations by hired civilians and mercenaries financed by private US corporations and the CIA’s ‘Black Budget,’” wrote Marrs.
Plumlee affirms that for several years the US government has aided in the sale of arms to the Syrian rebels with American intelligence agents operating from safe houses inside the Middle Eastern country. The former CIA contract pilot, along with other researchers, allege that the CIA was smuggling arms seized from Libyan warehouses and shipping them to the Syrian rebels even before the 2012 Benghazi attack. Plumlee says his trouble with the DOJ and DHS began when an agent from one of the investigative committees in D.C. requested he meet with them at the Peterson Air Force Base to discuss the information he received from his sources in the Middle East. Apparently, the representatives from the D.C. investigative committee wanted Plumlee’s information regarding the arms smuggling taking place in the Middle East, but canceled their meeting after Plumlee released what he knew to media outlets (including Infowars, see below for his two full interviews with Alex).
The representatives told him they canceled the meeting due to pending government cuts and layoffs, but that the limited information he provided to them was being turned over to the DOJ and DHS for their own independent investigation concerning the leaking of ‘National Security Matters’ to the media. On Oct. 3, Plumlee posted 14 questions directed to the government in which a simple “yes” or “no” would have sufficed. Plumlee received no response to his questions, but did, however, receive a threat from the DOJ demanding to know where he got his information. When he replied that he was a journalist and refused to divulge his sources, he was threatened with “We’ll see about that.” Following the threat, Plumlee went to Infowars to expose what he knew. Aaron Klein In a bombshell admission that has until now gone unreported, Martin Dempsey, chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, conceded that highly trained Special Forces were stationed just a few hours away from Benghazi on the night of the attacks but were not told to deploy to Libya. In comments that may warrant further investigation, Dempsey stated at a Senate hearing Wednesday that on the night of the Sept. 11, 2012, attack, command of the Special Forces – known as C-110, or the EUCOM CIF – was transferred from the military’s European command to AFRICOM, or the United States Africa Command. Dempsey did not state any reason for the strange transfer of command nor could he provide a timeline for the transfer the night of the attack.

“The real issue is very simple, you have to think of two elements of the government fighting each other that are covert,” Pieczenik told the Alex Jones Show. “The government is never unified, it never has been unified. For over thirty or forty years there has been a conflict between the military and the CIA and the FBI… The CIA has been run for the last fifty years by civilians who are out of control.” Appearing on the Alex Jones Show in November, investigative journalist Wayne Madsen also stated that the murder of Stevens was connected to a turf war between the Pentagon and the CIA.

All the evidence points to the Pentagon doing nothing to stop the attack on the compound. Martin Dempsey, chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, admitted during a Senate hearing in June that highly trained Special Forces were stationed a few hours away from Benghazi on the night of the attacks but were not deployed. This contradicts comments made by Gregory Hicks, the former top U.S. diplomat in Benghazi, who told Congress in May that officials from Special Operations Command-Africa ordered the units to stand down. In May, Infowars.com posted an article reporting the fact the Benghazi attack and the murder of ambassador Stevens had nothing to do with an absurd anti-Islam video, as the establishment media and the Obama administration insisted, but was directly connected to the shipment of arms from Libya to the mercenaries in Syria and, as Pieczenik explained, a covert struggle between the Pentagon and civilians in the CIA. Ambassador Stevens and the CIA’s Jihadist Recruitment Last November, Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer pointed out during an appearance on the Alex Jones Show that Turkey partnered with the CIA to take down Bashar al-Assad in Syria and, hours before the compound was attacked and Stevens and others lost their lives, the Turkish Consul General Ali Sait Akin met with the U.S. ambassador. According to Egyptian security officials, Stevens was instrumental in recruiting jihadists for the CIA’s war in Syria and “served as a key contact with the Saudis to coordinate the recruitment by Saudi Arabia of Islamic fighters from North Africa and Libya. The jihadists were sent to Syria via Turkey to attack Assad’s forces,” writes Aaron Klein. As Infowars.com and others have reported, the Syrian mercenaries belong to the al-Nusra Front, an al-Qaeda affiliate. This is part of a well-established pattern on the part of the CIA going back to at least its recruitment of the Mujahideen and so-called Afghan Arabs in Afghanistan and later in the Balkans. It was learned after the attack that the February 17th Martyrs Brigade was paid by the State Department to protect the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi. The group had “clear al-Qaida sympathies, and had prominently displayed the al-Qaida flag on a Facebook page for months before the deadly attack,” Max Rosenthal reported for Newsmax in May. The February 17th Martyrs Brigade, it was latter learned during a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing, are in league with Ansar al-Sharia, said to be linked to al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb. CIA Sending Surface-to-air Missiles to Libya Part of the operation involving Stevens included sending surface-to-air missiles to al-Qaeda in Syria. “Speculation on Capitol Hill has included the possibility the U.S. agencies operating in Benghazi were secretly helping to move surface-to-air missiles out of Libya, through Turkey, and into the hands of Syrian rebels,” CNN reported late last week, months after Infowars.com and others reported the illicit arms shipment. Predictably, the establishment media, led by CNN and Fox News, is taking credit for exposing details on the arms smuggling operation. On Saturday, Fox News “political insider” Geraldo Rivera speculated “that the CIA is covering up a gun-running operation in Benghazi.” Now that the real details on Benghazi are public, the establishment media is playing catch-up and is attempting to control the story. The Obama administration announced in late September that “it planned to expand a program to secure and destroy Libya’s huge stockpile of dangerous surface-to-air missiles” and that “the U.S. State Department has one official on the ground in Libya, as well as five contractors who specialize in ‘explosive ordinance disposal,’ all working with the rebel Transitional National Council to find the looted missiles,” ABC News reported. In fact, the State Department, under the guidance of ambassador Stevens, was moving to round up the missiles and send them to al-Qaeda in Syria. Prior to this, in December, 2011, the U.S. claimed to have secured 5,000 surface-to-air missiles and destroyed them outside of the village of Sidi Bin Nur in Libya. However, little was said about the identity or the ideological leanings of these Libyan rebels. Not surprising, considering the fact that the leader of the Libyan rebels later admitted that his fighters included Al-Qaeda linked jihadists who fought against allied troops in Iraq. These jihadist militants from Iraq were part of what national security analysts commonly referred to as Al-Qaeda in Iraq. Remember Al-Qaeda in Iraq was ISIS before it was rebranded.
