Elements of the Police State are Coming Together. The NDAA was crafted precisely to provide the legal mechanism for tasking the military to round up activists it conflates with al-Qaeda terrorists. The plan was initially envisioned by Rex 84 and in particular Operation Garden Plot, an operational plan to use the Army, USAF, Navy, and Marine Corp. in direct support of civil disturbance control operations. FEMA Camps for the American People Numerous FEMA camps scattered across the country are not designed to temporarily hold displaced citizens during natural disasters as the government would have us believe. Despite the denial and dismissal of the corporate media – most notably Glenn Beck – the camps are intended for the real enemy of the government and its banker overlords: the American people. In the above video, Alex also spotlights rendition facilities located at the Robert Mueller Airport in Austin, Texas, the Sand Point FEMA rendition hub in Washington state, and the notorious site at Pier 57 in New York City. The LAX hub is especially pertinent as the military and LA cops engage in Posse Comitatus busting exercises this week. “The LAPD said the purpose of the training was in part to ensure the military’s ability to operate in urban environments,” CBS Los Angeles reported on Wednesday. CBS, of course, did not draw any conclusions after it reported that military helicopters staged from Dodgers Stadium and ferried back and forth from local parks in the city. Sports stadiums have historically served as impromptu prisons for military dictatorships. (Editor’s note: see this article. Miami is attempting to use stadiums to house the homeless, thus setting a precedent.) The government has conducted a number of beta tests over the years in preparation for mass arrests and ultimately extraordinary renditions to black site torture dungeons. In addition to an alarming number of high profile military exercises, the government has worked in tandem with local police during events such as the the Republican and Democrat national conventions and periodic gatherings of the globalist elite in Pittsburgh and elsewhere. During the events, they have beta tested and honed their ability to arrest large numbers of people and hold them in squalid detention centers. Infowars.com reporter Rob Dew experienced the process firsthand when he was arrested while covering the G20 in Pittsburgh and held at a military base. Legal Precedents and Police State Preparations The NDAA, National Defense Authorization Act, and the Enemy Expatriation Act are recent efforts to build a legal – if entirely unconstitutional – foundation for the police state and its semi-secret network of gulags and rendition camps under the auspices of FEMA. Prior to the NDAA, the government established important precedents through the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act, the latter a direct effort to nullify habeas corpus and allow the government to disappear suspected citizens. The Constitution-busting Patriot Act emerged from the hysteria following the attacks of September 11, 2001, and spawned a raft of proposed “anti-terror” legislation, including The Universal National Service Act of 2003 and Patriot Act II, an earlier effort to trash habeas corpus. NDAA allows for the wholesale kidnapping and disappearance of American citizens into the above mentioned FEMA camps. The legislation was paraded before the American people under the guise of fighting phantom terrorists, but as a large number of legal experts, civil libertarians and commentators have noted, it is designed for the American people, not al-Qaeda miscreants. The National Emergency Centers Act or HR 645 was established to provide a legal context for the camps covered above. The bill mandates that six separate facilities be established in different Federal Emergency Management Agency Regions (FEMA) throughout the country. In December, we covered a push by KBR to outfit FEMA and U.S. Army camps around the United States under federal government contract. KBR’s call for FEMA camp service bids arrived soon after the NDAA was passed in the Senate. Contingency plans to suspend the Constitution and abduct enemies of the state go back to at least the 1980s. Rex 84, short for Readiness Exercise 1984, was established under the pretext of a “mass exodus” of illegal aliens crossing the Mexican/US border, the same pretense used in the language of the KBR request for services. During the Iran-Contra hearings in 1987, however, it was revealed that the program was a secretive “scenario and drill” developed by the federal government to suspend the Constitution, declare martial law, assign military commanders to take over state and local governments, and detain large numbers of American citizens determined by the government to be “national security threats.” FEMA Rendition Camps: The Emergent Face of Fascism in America Rex 84, Operation Cable Splicer, and Garden Plot are programs specifically designed to facilitate the recently enacted NDAA and the above mentioned legislation and more going back to Clinton in the wake of the OKC bombing and the Waco massacre in the 1990s. The effort to turn America into a military police state where free-thinkers not drinking the government’s kool-aid can easily be disappeared into a nightmare world of secret CIA rendition flights to eastern European torture centers grew serious legs following the September 11 attacks and has entered a hyper state now that the NDAA is law. Startling details on the rendition center at LAX adds more credence to the indisputable fact that the government is working to establish a network of camps for its political enemies. It underscores the fact that the controllers are hellbent on fully realizing fascism in America, complete with concentration camps where those opposed to the quest for global domination disappear, never to be seen again. While they all have their place in an overall strategy to defend the Constitution, none of them should be the first step forward. That is, if you follow the advice of the “Father of the Constitution.” Here’s what James Madison had to say in Federalist #46. The Influence of the State and Federal Governments Compared:
Let me translate. Madison said that when the federal government passes an unconstitutional measure there are powerful methods to oppose it – amongst the people and in the states. He also pointed out that those methods were available even for warrantable, that is constitutional, measures. Madison told us of four things that should be done to resist federal powers, whether merely unpopular, or unconstitutional. 1. Disquietude of the people – Madison expected the people would throw a fit when the feds usurped power – even using the word “repugnance” to describe their displeasure. That leads to the next step. 2. Repugnance and Refusal to co-operate with the officers of the Union – Noncompliance. The #1 dictionary of the time defined repugnance as “disobedient; not obsequious” (compliant). If you want to stop the federal government, you have to disobey them. Madison also suggested that people would perhaps directly refuse to cooperate with federal agents. This is an approach we preach here every day at the Tenth Amendment Center. James Madison apparently knew what we know today. The feds rely on cooperation from state and local governments, as well as individuals. When enough people refuse to comply, they simply can’t enforce their so-called laws. 3, The frowns of the executive magistracy of the State – Here Madison envisions governors formally protesting federal actions. This not only raises public awareness; executive leadership will also lead to the next step – legislative action. 4. Legislative devices, which would often be added on such occasions – Madison keeps this open-ended, and in the years soon after, which I’ll cover shortly, we learn how both he and Thomas Jefferson applied this step. Madison also told us that if several adjoining States would do the same it would be an effective tool to stop federal acts. To repeat, he said that doing this “would present obstructions which the federal government would hardly be willing to encounter.” Judge Andrew Napolitano agreed recently and said that people need to stop enforcing unconstitutional federal laws. He also said that if you could get an entire state doing this, it would make federal laws “nearly impossible to enforce.” What’s important to note here, are some glaring omissions. The powerful means that Madison told us would be used to oppose federal power successfully did NOT include federal lawsuits in federal courts. He also did NOT include “voting the bums out” as a strategy, either. FIRST RESPONSE Compare that with how people generally respond to what they consider unconstitutional or unpopular federal acts today. The first thing I tend to hear from people who are opposed to a federal act is the “vote the bums out” mantra. We’ll fire congress, right? Or some people tell us we have to sue and let the courts decide. I’ve got some news for you. There’s nothing from the founders – anywhere – in which they tell us that our first response to extreme, repeated violations of the constitution and liberty is to vote the bums out, or sue the feds in federal court. Nothing. LEGISLATIVE DEVICES Thomas Jefferson followed up on this in 1798 with the same kind of advice. That year, the Adams administration passed a wildly unconstitutional attack on the freedom of speech with the Alien and Sedition Acts. In response, while sitting as vice-president, Jefferson secretly drafted the Kentucky Resolutions, and here’s a little of what he wrote:
Madison was consistent in his views on this. In 1798, he also drafted and help pass something known as the Virginia Resolutions, a state-level “legislative device” in response to the Alien and Sedition Acts. Here’s a key part:

Martial Law has already been established on paper, and a Supreme Court Justice now warns that the nation’s highest court would back executive orders to intern Americans, as it did during WWII. Senior Associate Justice Antonin Scalia, the longest serving justice of the Supreme Court who has been on since the Reagan Administration, predicted that the Supreme Court would someday back moves by the federal government to intern Americans under martial law, citing the landmark Korematsu v. United States decision that upheld FDR’s Executive Order 9066 to round up and hold Japanese Americans in camps during WWII. Never mind that this is blatantly in violation of the rights of Americans; time of war makes the laws fell silent Scalia cautioned.

“You are kidding yourself if you think the same thing will not happen again,” Scalia told students at the University of Hawaii law school. “That’s what happens. It was wrong, but I would not be surprised to see it happen again, in time of war. It’s no justification but it is the reality.” Is Scalia right? Could it happen? It already has been established, as far as on paper and in the preparation/contingency matrix for the Continuity of Government (COG). Power will be transferred to cadre of of Shadow Elite with a vague relation to the chain of succession outlined by the Constitution (and numerous supporting entities and agencies). Presidents Bush and Obama have both contributed significantly to the growing emergency powers declared and assumed by the executive branch over the years. Just look at the atmosphere that took place after 9/11 – where the Bush Administration passed the draconian Patriot Act, established Homeland Security, beefed up TSA and waged both a broad, vague War on Terror and a narrower war in Iraq – all based on lies sold to the public under a heightened atmosphere of fear. Add to that the internment that happened at the Superdome during Hurricane Katrina and the other contingency plans for crisis. In 2008, Congressman Brad Sherman claims that such threats of martial law were made ahead of the vote for the Bailout and ensuing economic crisis. How quickly would the Obama Administration or a future president use the powers of Executive Order to hold Americans in actual camps in the event of future crisis – be it natural disaster, false flag terrorism, economic collapse or wider war? This question is particularly pertinent, given that acts of legislation such as H.R. 645 have been introduced to establish ‘National Emergency Centers’ for times of crisis and that hundreds of facilities in major metropolitan areas across the country have been designated for use as FEMA camps and readied for mass population processing and control… these authors have covered several of these facilities and relevant drills, and the intent is becoming very clear. Justice Antonin Scalia’s comments only serve as further warning that this things may be coming to pass. May the individual people of America remain vigilant and true to our principles. FEMA Camps: City to Exile the Homeless; It’s not a Conspiracy Theory Anymore Brandon Walker In August the city of Colombia, South Carolina, had a problem. A festival honoring the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement was coming to town. They couldn’t be seen with all the homeless when guests arrived from all parts of the United States. So the city council held a vote and made homelessness a crime.
Despite some news from the Main Stream Media, and Glenn Beck, it looks like the city went out of their way to begin staffing the 240 bed, 24 hour, razor wire topped FEMA camp that was supposed to be used in case of a disaster according to FEMA. Remember, these areas do not exist according to the news media. However the FEMA site has the plans and the implementations of them. FEMA has even built them for cities such as Galeston, Houston, New York, Boston, New Orleans, and even Colombia. Strange for areas that don’t exist. South Carolina went through with the plans and they even caught the attention of the ACLU. In order for the homeless to “qualify” for the “temporary shelter” they would have to be one of the first 240 homeless to apply and wouldn’t be able to leave except by shuttle. They even went out of their way to remove some of the benches around the town so the homeless didn’t get comfortable and a hot line to call if you spotted homeless people for the residents.
But this is not the only area making it a crime for being homeless. It turns out that since 2011, the city of Boston is moving its homeless out of the city into what they call HOME Base near Salem away from the city. People in Southern California were getting concerned from homeless disappearing off the streets. Most of the homeless in places like Sacramento are taken and driven out of town in tent cities of their own. They have made it a crime to be homeless and round them up and move them there. They are guarded and people have hotlines to call if they spot a homeless person. They ship them out and place them in these camps. They are not permitted to leave and they are not permitted to wander the streets of the bigger cities without a permit. If that is not a determent camp, I don’t know what is. They are moving to make it a crime to be homeless in Miami as well. Where are they putting the people from these “round ups”? The city of Columbia was quick to recant their law at the end of September, but there are several other cities and states that still have not. There are several individuals that have warned over the years to people that this would happen. If we do not find humanity in our hearts when does the the madness stop. This is almost like the 1940′s rounding up of the undesirables happening right before our very eyes. The only thing different is that this is the United States and not Germany. Now we have the the cutting of EBT and Food Banks by $5 Billion, Unemployment continuing to sky rocket, and over 3.5 million homeless with the numbers growing daily. We have 18.5 million vacation homes and homes in Detroit being sold for a dollar, but we can’t find places to house people other then FEMA camps? I think we all know what happens from here if we continue to let it. When the people of bigger cities wake up to find that all the homeless have disappeared over night, you actually know where they are. The question is, are you next?

President Obama has officially asked for $3.7 billion in emergency funding to handle the tens of thousands of Central American children who've showed up unaccompanied at the U.S.-Mexico border seeking entry and support. According to the Washington Post, "Administration officials said the request is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at building more detention centers, adding immigration judges, and beefing up border patrols and air surveillance." Critics have blasted the president's request for focusing little on controlling the border and, instead, spending the bulk of the money on new Homeland Security facilities, as well as administration money to the Dept. of Human Health Services and other agencies to care for the refugee minors. While the White House insists these children will likely not be allowed to stay, there is little reason to think they will be sent home anytime soon -- and the detention centers would suggest long-term plans to house mass numbers of refugees. Obama's plan -- ostensibly to support migrant Central American children -- expands upon previous upgrades to federal government emergency powers. In 2006, KBR (a Halliburton subsidiary) received a $385 million dollar contract to construct and operate some 600 detention facilities for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), operating under supervision from the Department of Homeland Security, "expand existing ICE Detention and Removal Operations Program facilities in the event of an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S." These detention camps would be used to process and hold migrants until deportation determinations have been made. Estimates say that each of the 600 emergency centers could house up to 5,000 people, with a total capacity of some 400,000 -- raising questions about why the president would need several billion more in emergency funding to create new centers. Of course, the KBR contract also covers use of the facilities for other emergencies, such as those where FEMA would house displaced Americans during various crises. The ICE-designated government facilities could also be used by other agencies to "support the rapid development of new programs" or as part of a "plan to react to a national emergency, such as a natural disaster," Early Republican skepticism suggests the bill may have trouble becoming law, but the nature of the request is revealing about the federal government's larger designs for immigration reform, amnesty and border (in)security. FEMA Building Pricey Domes… ‘For Your Safety’
“Officials have started construction on one of their safe rooms,” reports KRGV. “They’re expected to be completed in a year.”The Federal Emergency Management Agency is offering partial funding for construction of “safe domes” across Texas’ southern coastal region that will purportedly serve to shelter area emergency first responders and citizens “that are very difficult to evacuate in hazardous weather events.” FEMA is supposedly footing a majority of the bill for the Texas Safe Shelter Initiative, an ambitious program started in 2010 which sought to erect about 35 expensive, domed structures in communities along the state’s coastline. Many of the domes, which can cost small towns anywhere from just under a million dollars to more than $10 million, will ideally be outfitted with generators, trucks and emergency supplies, and can hold anywhere from 1,000 to 4,000 people depending on the circumstances. They will also double as community centers and gymnasiums while they’re not being used for emergencies. The largely federally-funded igloo-like buildings have already cropped up in Central Texas towns like Edna, with a population of under 6,000, and North Texas towns such as Kountze and Lumberton, where the project already proved to be a boondoggle for the local economy. Earlier this year in March, Lumberton ISD Superintendent John Valastro revealed the district had only secured partial funding to begin construction on the town’s Performing Arts Center dome, located near Lumberton High School. In a stunning admission, Valastro told the Beaumont Enterprise the district opted to go ahead with the $9 million project, knowing full well they would be $4 million short before construction was completed. FEMA had enticed Lumberton school officials by offering a $3 million grant towards the dome’s construction. “When people say, ‘Why did you start something you can’t finish,’ well, I can give you three million reasons,” Valastro told the Enterprise. “$3 million from a grant is something we weren’t going to get again.” While the auditorium did eventually get built (it’s touted on contractor ABCDomes.com‘s website), the FEMA money was only applied to construction costs and materials, leaving the town on the hook for $6.5 million to complete the project. What’s worse is FEMA funds are “reimbursement grants,” meaning local municipalities have to “weather” the costs until the federal government decides to loosen its purse strings. There are also questions regarding the domes’ costs compared to their efficiency. In Texas’ Rio Grande Valley, for instance, the nine domes being built, using tax payer funds, would only have the capacity to shelter 2.8 percent of the area’s population (about 36,000 people, according to census data). The rest would have to hunker down or endure heavily-trafficked evacuation routes. Moreover, during emergencies the domes will only be used to house special populations: mainly city officials and first responders, and lastly displaced citizens. For many, FEMA and “domes” will forever be inextricably linked ever since the agency’s bungled response to the 2005 Hurricane Katrina crisis in New Orleans, where for several days thousands of people crammed into the ill-equipped Louisiana Superdome. During that debacle, between 15 and 20,000 evacuees packed the stadium previously used to house sporting events, suffering through unsanitary conditions and rampant violence and criminality. The structure lacked basic necessities like food, water and electricity, and several people died.

In the aftermath of the catastrophic event, FEMA leaders admitted in federal testimony that calls for help regarding the dire circumstances inside the dome were ignored, even when officials were told that several people inside were “near death.” In light of its shoddy-at-best track record, FEMA’s move to match funds for “safe domes” is seemingly a further attempt by the federal government to dig its talons into small, rural communities under the guise of providing “safe” structures. Despite that many will perceive the domes to be cleverly-disguised “FEMA camps” – which could potentially be used to shelter destitute populations during emergencies, such as a financial collapse – they also provide ample opportunities for the feds to weasel into Smalltown, USA and squander its pocketbooks.

Obama has issued another executive order, this time establishing a so-called “Council of Governors.” The order, signed on January 11, further diminishes the sovereignty of the states and builds on a framework for possible martial law. The executive order was completely ignored by the corporate media. “By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 1822 of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2008 (Public Law 110-181), and in order to strengthen further the partnership between the Federal Government and State governments to protect our Nation and its people and property,” the order reads.
In other words, the Pentagon and Homeland Security will give hand-picked governors their marching orders under the guise of “synchronization and integration of State and Federal military activities in the United States,” a direct violation of Posse Comitatus. Well, Obama’s CG is quickly beginning to take shape.
According to the Associated Press (AP), “President Barack Obama has selected Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon to serve
on an advisory council for defense and national security issues.
“Nixon was one of 10 governors named Thursday [February 4, 2009] by Obama to the newly created Council of
Governors.”
The 10 governors (and one of them is not even a State governor) selected by Obama are:

As I have already written, the creation of a CG should be of serious
concern to all liberty loving Americans. That more of us are not as concerned as we should be can be traced to
the mistaken belief that the American people have nothing to fear from an overreaching federal government. This
is pure folly! As I have said many times, we have far more to fear from Washington, D.C., than from Iran, Iraq,
North Korea, or any other potential terrorist state. It is Washington, D.C.,–and Washington, D.C., alone–that
has the power, opportunity, and propensity to squash our freedom and sell us into tyranny.

Insurrection Act and take charge of United States National Guard troops without state governor authorization.
Parts of the act were repealed in 2008.”

What most Americans fail to realize (thanks to a national propaganda press
corps that refuses to reveal the conspiratorial machinations of America’s ruling class, which, by and large, is
totally disconnected from–or unaccountable to–elected officeholders: especially those in Congress) is that the
subdivision of the United States into a 10-region country (thereby minimizing or even negating the sovereignty
and authority of the 50 independent and autonomous states) goes all the way back to the Richard Nixon
administration.
In response to pressure from the United Nations, President Richard Nixon issued Executive Order #11647 on
February 10, 1972, which carved up the United States into 10 “standard Federal regions.”

Still not convinced? Try a casual web search of the 10 US regions
and you will quickly discover that each major federal agency, such as the EPA, OSHA, DOT, FEMA, etc., has their
agency already divided into these 10 regions. As an example, here is the official district map for
FEMA:
Commenting on the creation of the 10 “super” regions initiated by President Nixon, CuttingEdge.org director
David Bay very astutely said, “This regional system is also apparently a military structure.” This is a very
insightful observation, because I’m sure this was said long before President Obama took office, yet, that is
exactly what his CG accomplishes. It grants federal executive power to these 10 governors–with the specific
responsibility of providing leadership and direction to the National Guard and related homeland military
activities. And is it any coincidence that the number of governors appointed to this new CG is exactly 10? Even
more telling is the fact that the 10 governors come from each US region (the governor of Puerto Rico represents
Region 2), except for Region 5, and guess what? Region 5 is President Obama’s region!
Now, get this: the only region that has two governors represented on the CG (making up for Region 5′s lack of a
representative–who will be Obama himself, no doubt) is Region 3. And put this in your pipe and smoke it: the
two governors from Region 3 are from Maryland and Virginia, which are the two states that border Washington,
D.C. But all of this is mere coincidence, right?

So, here is the list of the Council of Governors, as it coincides with the respective 10 regions. If you know
anything about what is going on, you should easily be able to see the logic of how and why these governors were
selected. Obviously, the two basic criteria would be 1) The location of necessary government infrastructure,
facilities, personnel, etc., combined with 2) The compliant attitude and overall disposition of the governor
selected.
Here is how it looks:
Region 1: Governor Douglas of Vermont
Region 2: Governor Fortuno of Puerto Rico Region 3: Governor O’Malley of Maryland and Governor McDonnell of Virginia. These are necessary, as these are the two border states of Washington, D.C. Region 4: Governor Perdue of North Carolina Region 5: President Barack Obama of Illinois Region 6: Governor Henry of Oklahoma Region 7: Governor Nixon of Missouri Region 8: Governor Rounds of South Dakota Region 9: Governor Brewer of Arizona Region 10: Governor Gregoire of Washington State
And while it is true that President Jimmy Carter revoked President Nixon’s “Federal Regional Council” (what
Nixon’s Executive Order created in 1972) in 1979, the concept never died. It was merely incorporated into other
Executive Orders. And there can be no question that President Obama’s CG certainly builds on Nixon’s initial
“Regional Council” model.
Neither is it a coincidence that Missouri Governor Jay Nixon is included in the list of 10 governors appointed
to the CG. Why? Does anyone remember the MIAC flap in the State of Missouri last year? I sure do, because I
(along with Ron Paul and Bob Barr) was listed in the MIAC report as being a potential dangerous militia member
or terrorist. And anyone who supported or voted for the three of us was similarly maligned in the MIAC report.

ed to all Missouri State law enforcement officers. And Governor Jay Nixon authorized and strongly defended the
MIAC report!
Later, of course, Governor Nixon and other State leaders were forced to withdraw the report, due to immense
public pressure from both the citizens of Missouri and angry Americans all across the country.

Now we learn that President Obama has appointed this very same Governor Jay Nixon to the newly formed Council
of Governors. Doubtless, Nixon’s support for the MIAC report brought him into the good graces of this Marxist
President, who, in his inaugural address, pledged to “remake America.” Without a doubt, the newly established
Council of Governors is helping Obama do just that.
Of course, the big question is not, Is America being “remade”? It most certainly is–and it started long before

Like the 30-plus czars running America with neither the people’s nor the congress’s blessings, the Council of Governors is already a done deal. “Is this a first step towards Martial Law, or a tie to the InterPol, RAND National Police Force stuff we’ve been hearing about,” asked a Texas patriot who tipped off Canada Free Press (CFP) after finding news of the new Council of Governors on Twitter. “Is this a sort of Homeland Security Politburo? “I do know it’s another sleuth order executed without any announcement, OR EXPLANATION to the People.” Patriots know by now that the promised Obama “transparency” is a fog. Checking the Net on the Council of Governors, CFP found other than a few blogs only UPI.com had the story as of this morning: “President Barack Obama Monday established a panel of state governors to collaborate with Washington on a variety of potential emergencies, the White House said.” (UPI.com, Jan. 11, 2010 at 11:54 p.m.). “Obama signed an executive order establishing a panel to be known as the Council of Governors, which will be made up of 10 state governors, to be selected by the president to serve two-year terms. Members will review matters involving the National Guard; homeland defense; civil support; and synchronization and integration of state and federal military activities in the United States, the White House said in a statement. “The statement said the White House would seek input from governors and governors’ association (sic) in deciding which governors to appoint to the council, which will have no more than five governors from the same party. “The secretaries of defense and homeland security will also sit on the council, as will presidential assistants for homeland security and counter-terrorism, intergovernmental affairs, the U.S. Northern Command commander, the commander of the East Coast Guard, and the chief of the National Guard Bureau. “The panel was set up under a provision of the Fiscal Year 2008 National Defense Authorization Act, the White House said.” There was no timestamp on the latest Emergency Order from Whitehouse.gov, which readers can see below. MIAC Report Supporter and Missouri Gov. Nixon to Sit On Obama’s Council of Governors

WRAL in North Carolina and the Associated Press are reporting that Obama has selected Missouri governor Jay Nixon to sit on his newly minted Council of Governors. On January 12, 2010, Infowars.com reported on Obama’s executive order establishing the Council or Governors.
Obama’s order states: “The Council shall meet at the call of the Secretary of Defense or the Co-Chairs of the Council to exchange views, information, or advice with the Secretary of Defense; the Secretary of Homeland Security; the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism; the Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement; the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Americas’ Security Affairs; the Commander, United States Northern Command; the Chief, National Guard Bureau; the Commandant of the Coast Guard; and other appropriate officials of the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense, and appropriate officials of other executive departments or agencies as may be designated by the Secretary of Defense or the Secretary of Homeland Security.” In other words, with the stroke of a pen Obama significantly increased the ongoing effort to federalize the states and take control of the National Guard in violation of the now more or less moribund Posse Comitatus Act. In march of 2009, Missouri governor Jay Nixon supported and defended the now infamous MIAC Report. “Getting information, especially public information, out of our fusion center out to local law enforcement agencies is [what] we do every day and we’re going to continue to do,” said Nixon. “Any way they take that information and can analyze what the threat levels are is important to make sure the public stays safe.” The MIAC report was leaked to Alex Jones in early March by two Missouri police officers who were concerned by its content. The report went viral on the internet and was eventually covered by the corporate media. [efoods]The report “lists Ron Paul supporters, libertarians, people who display bumper stickers, people who own gold, or even people who fly a U.S. flag and equates them with radical race hate groups and terrorists. This is merely the latest example in an alarming trend which confirms that law enforcement across the country is being trained that American citizens are a dangerous enemy,” Paul Joseph Watson, Kurt Nimmo and Alex Jones reported on March 13. The report was vetted by Captain Hull at the Missouri State Highway Patrol who told Infowars.com that the MIAC Strategic Report was part of “normal operation for officers” and was used to train police officers. Lt. John Hotz also told Alex Jones the document was legitimate. In response to the story, three former presidential candidates — Chuck Baldwin, Ron Paul, and Bob Barr — sent a letter to Missouri officials protesting the MIAC Report. Appearing on The Alex Jones Show on March 19, Baldwin said that he and his fellow letter signatories were considering legal action if the letter did not result in a repudiation of the MIAC report and its inflammatory allegations. On March 26, in response to media coverage of the report and public outrage over the document, Missouri Highway Patrol Superintendent James Keathley engaged in damage control and pulled the MIAC report. “The head of the Missouri State Highway Patrol has shut down a controversial report linking right-wing groups with the modern militia movement,” the Associated Press reported. In response to the public fallout, Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder called on the director of the Public Safety Department to be placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.

Governor Nixon also did an about face. “I was not governor when the MIAC was formed,” Nixon said. “I was not governor, I did not hire any of the people there and nobody in my administration — the director of public safety — saw this stuff before it went out,” reported Prime Buzz. “Under a previous system, MIAC would prepare and distribute these reports to law enforcement agencies without review or approval from the colonel of the Highway Patrol or the director of Public Safety,” Nixon said. “That’s simply not acceptable.” The fact Nixon will now sit on Obama’s unconstitutional Council of Governors should be of concern. It must be remembered that Nixon enthusiastically supported MIAC before it became politically unpopular to do so. He is also an advocate of fusion centers surveilling the American people. Mr. Nixon will soon be discussing national security and terrorist threats with the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Americas’ Security Affairs, and most ominously the commander of NORTHCOM. Nixon’s initial support for the MIAC Report reveals that he agrees with its conclusion that libertarians and supporters of Ron Paul are domestic terrorists. It is significant that he will be sitting on a council along with members of the Department of Homeland Security. In April, following the release of the MIAC Report and a similar report issued the Virginia Terrorism Threat Assessment, a DHS document entitled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” surfaced. The DHS document characterized returning veterans, gun owners, and opponents of Obama and big government as domestic terrorists. It also listed those opposed to abortion or immigration as potential extremists and cited groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority as potential sources of hate crime. In August, after a whirlwind of negative coverage, a freedom of information act request revealed that the report was not based on any reliable supporting evidence. “According to the DHS, the report was compiled based purely on around 50 internet articles, the credibility of which is severely questionable,” Steve Watson wrote at the time. According to research conducted by Americans for Legal Immigration, the MIAC report was in essence crafted by the Southern Poverty Law Center and Anti Defamation League. An FOIA request filed by Americans for Limited Government attempted to find out where the Department of Homeland Security received the information for its report. “Our worst fears about what went into this memo have been confirmed. Obama Executive Order Some warn expansion of military involvement in domestic
security

An Obama executive order that creates a council of state governors who will work with the feds to expand military involvement in domestic security has stoked fears that the administration is stepping up preparations for martial law. The order, which is entitled Establishment of the Council of Governors (PDF), creates a body of ten state governors directly appointed by Obama who will work with the federal government to help advance the “synchronization and integration of State and Federal military activities in the United States”. The governors will liaise with officials from Northcom, Homeland Security, the National Guard as well as DoD officials from the Pentagon “in order to strengthen further the partnership between the Federal Government and State governments,” according to the executive order. In October 2008, Northcom, a Unified Combatant Command of the United States military based out of Peterson AFB, Colorado Springs, was assigned the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team returning from Iraq. An alarming September 8 Army Times report which was later denied after it sparked controversy stated that the troops would be used by Northcom to deal with “civil unrest and crowd control” in the aftermath of a national emergency. The Obama executive order states that governors will help advise the feds on National Guard, homeland defense, and civil support activities. The fact that the order further blurs the lines between state and federal power, as well as greasing the skids for more military involvement in domestic affairs has stoked fears that Obama may be laying the groundwork for his promised “national civilian security force”.
Conservatives and libertarians responded to the announcement by expressing their suspicion that Obama is preparing to give governors their marching orders in targeting “anti-government” types that have long been characterized as a terrorist threat by the feds in numerous reports stretching back over a decade. “There is a definite purpose to this,” wrote one commenter on the popular Free Republic website, “The initial steps toward a domestic “Civilian Security Force” in each state, as called for by the fascisti during the campaign. It will be coordinated at the state level, under the authority of DHS and DoD and assorted agencies. The provision will be made for it to be “federalized” in an emergency, as is the National Guard.” “This is a concrete step toward eliminating the independent authority and dissolving the sovereignty of the several States. It lays the groundwork for the end of the United States as a Republic,” she adds. Others warn that Obama could be preparing to cancel elections under the justification of a national emergency, a fear that was often expressed when Bush was in office but one that never materialized. However, the executive order clearly represents another assault on Posse Comitatus, the 1878 law that bars the military from exercising domestic police powers, which was temporarily annulled by the 2006 John Warner National Defense Authorization Act before parts of it were later repealed.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn was born in Russia, DECEMBER 11, 1918. He was arrested for writing a letter criticizing Stalin and spent 11 years in labor camps. He began writing and eventually received the Nobel Prize for Literature.
Japanese-American internment was the move and internment by the United States government in 1942 of about 110,000 Japanese Americans and Japanese who lived along the Pacific coast of the United States to camps called "War Relocation Camps," in the wake of Imperial Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor.[ 1][2] The internment of Japanese Americans was applied unequally throughout the United States. Japanese Americans who lived on the West Coast of the United States were all interned, while in Hawaii, where more than 150,000 Japanese Americans composed over one-third of the territory's population, 1,200[ 3] to 1,800 Japanese Americans were interned.[ 4] Of those interned, 62% were American citizens.[ 5][6]

At the same time, San Francisco business and government leaders began planning to physically clear the Japanese community from the Western Addition by declaring it a "slum area." This planning began one month before the last Japanese residents were forced from the so-called "Little Tokio," or Japantown, district. When reading these articles it must be understood that they reflect their time; words and ideas repugnant and appalling to us today are used, and discussed, freely, in the News' columns. It should also be noted that some news articles were approved by military censors before publication. In addition, every newspaper editor was excessively careful about printing information of potential use to the enemy. These San Francisco News articles have far greater meaning if the Museum's 1942 San Francisco War Events timeline is read to give the news reports political context. The War Relocation Authority's 1943 publication "Relocation of Japanese Americans" should also be read to understand what the general American public was told about the internment camps. Excerpts from Gen. DeWitt's Final Report on the Evacuation of the Japanese are also available online for study. The evacuation concluded May 20, 1942, and this San Francisco Chronicle article, "S.F. Clear of all But 6 Sick Japanese," details a brief history of Japanese immigration to San Francisco, and the final forced exodus of internees from the city.

PowerPoint Presentations showing the evacuation of San Francisco, the Tanforan Assembly Center and the Manzanar Relocation Center are available from the Museum. The San Francisco Evacuation presentation contains 20 photographs, with original WRA captions, taken by famed photographer Dorothea Lange in early 1942. Another presentation, about the infamous Tanforan Assembly Center, closely examines the horse stalls used to house San Francisco internees - as well as the primitive living conditions. Also available are 20 views of the infamous Manzanar Relocation Center in California's High Desert. These photographs include arrival at the camp, internees moving in, and general views of this desolate, dusty, inhumane, location. WRA photographers Clem Albers and Dorothea Lange shot the photographs between April and July 1942.
