Admitted presence of GMO ingredients on store shelves contradicts claim of ‘nothing artificial ever’

With GMO foods more prevalent and more unpopular than ever, even “organic”-oriented grocery chains have been scrambling to spin the sad truth that genetically-modified ingredients have saturated the market and infiltrated virtually all food brands.

Such is the case with Whole Foods, leader in the organic products market, who’ve made billions advertising their stores as all ‘natural,’ wholesome and containing ‘nothing artificial ever,’ all while admittedly selling GMOs inside the store.

These stores are perpetrating a blatant case of false advertising, which Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary of Law defines as, “the crime or tort of publishing, broadcasting, or otherwise publicly distributing an advertisement that contains an untrue, misleading, or deceptive representation or statement which was made knowingly or recklessly and with the intent to promote the sale of property, goods, or services to the public.”

Whole Foods has had to admit recently that its shelves are packed with food that contain GMO ingredients, going against their pure image as an all-organic grocer. Yet their customers are drawn into the vast, attractive store aisles on the premise that they are buying pure, wholesome foods for their families, while the store charges premium ‘organic’ prices for many products that fall short of any serious standards.

Numerous health advocates including NaturalNews.com have exposed the deception behind industry marketing under the term “natural,” concocted to sound like a synonym for organic foods, grown without pesticides or artificial chemicals, but which actually contain ingredients derived from food-experiments created in the labs of Monsanto, Dupont, Syngenta or other leading biotech firms and designed to takeover our lives. There are no regulatory standards for the “natural” food products aimed at health conscious buyers, nor for the hundreds of other unregulated foods containing potentially-deadly GMOs, including those found at Whole Foods. Only products specifically labeled and certified as “organic” can be even remotely trusted in this volatile and confusing market.

If Whole Foods, a respected niche leader in the organic movement, can get away with this massive and lucrative deception, anyone can. Many of us at Infowars are Whole Foods customers, and this is all the more reason why we are taking this issue personally.

We must fight to stop the spread of GMO food products, not give into the massive finance pressure in the biotech industry or false promises of regulatory figureheads long ago bought out by Monsanto and their ilk. Please spread this video report and article to everyone you know, while redoubling your efforts to expose GMO dangers and fight for truly natural foods that are nutritious and proven safe by thousands of years of human eating habits.

…because apparently, telling you that you’re eating a genetically modified food that’s engineered to create its own pesticide which paralyzes an insect’s digestive system, causing it to rupture when they eat it will somehow foster mistrust in the biotech industry.

In fact, a much better way to “foster trust” is to leave you completely in the dark about what you’re eating, just like eating food should be the same as walking blindfolded through a haunted house filled with rabid banshees by yourself.

The verdict is in. You would be a fool to accept the vote-count in the California Prop 37 election. I'll show you why. Apparently, the CA secretary of state's office has been getting hit by a lot of calls. People are asking them about the ongoing Prop 37 vote-count. As of last night (11/13/2012), there were still 2,304,250 votes uncounted.

Update: As of 11/14/2012, 5:00pm PT, the number of uncounted ballots stands at 1,891,719.

I received a call from Shannan Velayas, who works in media relations at the California Secretary of State's office. She left a message, emphasizing several points. Among them: The vote-count is open and transparent, and anyone from the public can observe it.

This fact has been used by reporters and "experts" to assure the public that an election can't be stolen. They're absolutely wrong.

That a former Monsanto scientist should find himself in charge of a specially-created post at the very journal that published two landmark studies questioning the safety of that company's products should surprise no one who is aware of the Monsanto revolving door. This door is responsible for literally dozens of Monsanto officials, lobbyists and consultants finding themselves in positions of authority in the government bodies that are supposedly there to regulate the company and its actions.

There's nothing they are leaving untouched: the mustard, the okra, the bringe oil, the rice, the cauliflower. Once they have established the norm: that seed can be owned as their property, royalties can be collected. We will depend on them for every seed we grow of every crop we grow. If they control seed, they control food, they know it -- it's strategic. It's more powerful than bombs. It's more powerful than guns. This is the best way to control the populations of the world. The story starts in the White House, where Monsanto often got its way by exerting disproportionate influence over policymakers via the "revolving door". One example is Michael Taylor, who worked for Monsanto as an attorney before being appointed as deputy commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1991. While at the FDA, the authority that deals with all US food approvals, Taylor made crucial decisions that led to the approval of GE foods and crops. Then he returned to Monsanto, becoming the company's vice president for public policy.

Thanks to these intimate links between Monsanto and government agencies, the US adopted GE foods and crops without proper testing, without consumer labeling and in spite of serious questions hanging over their safety. Not coincidentally, Monsanto supplies 90 percent of the GE seeds used by the US market. Monsanto's long arm stretched so far that, in the early nineties, the US Food and Drugs Agency even ignored warnings of their own scientists, who were cautioning that GE crops could cause negative health effects. Other tactics the company uses to stifle concerns about their products include misleading advertising, bribery and concealing scientific evidence.

It is hardly surprising that the first thing Bayer did after completing their takeover of Monsanto earlier this month was to announce that they were dropping the Monsanto name, merging the two companies' agrichemical divisions under the Bayer Crop Science name. After all, as everyone knows, Monsanto is one of the most hated corporations in the world. But Bayer itself has an equally atrocious history of death and destruction. Together they are a match made in hell.
